About The Grid: Northwest
A working directory of real businesses across the Northwest — from Seattle coffee roasters to Bozeman outfitters.
Why this exists
Small towns get skipped. Search for a boat mechanic in Port Angeles or a roofer in Sandpoint and you'll get national chains three hours away before you get the shop on the corner. The Grid: Northwest is built the other way around: towns first, then the businesses that actually have a door on a Northwest road.
How towns get covered
We started in Seattle and we're working outward across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Alaska and Northern California (San Francisco and north), town by town. Listings come from public business data and from owners who submit or claim their own listing.
Every listing carries the same core facts: address, phone, website, hours, rating and a map link that opens directions on your phone. Owners can correct anything that's wrong.
Who runs it
The Grid: Northwest is run by Greg Chernoff of Absolute Velocity Labs — thirty years of marketing operations work, now pointed at the towns of the Northwest.
